Description

What would it take for community-based organizations to shape the future of AI, rather than be shaped by it?

This session explores Project Resolve, a first-of-its-kind initiative that equips CBOs to co-govern AI tools and data systems. Through participatory training and design, community leaders are redefining how data is shared, trusted, and used to deliver services, from food access to navigating health services to housing support. Participants will learn how this model builds digital fluency, equity, and collaboration across institutions. The session will share actionable tools and lessons for embedding community voice in AI design, ensuring emerging technologies strengthen, not erode, trust and equity.

Learning Question:  How can community-based organizations lead in shaping ethical AI and data-sharing ecosystems that build trust, equity, and collaboration, rather than deepen existing divides?
