The Neighborhood Network Initiative supports residents by driving economic development that aligns with community priorities and uses creative cross-sector partnerships to attract new private investment. United Way and Austin Coming Together have worked to move beyond conventional corporate social responsibility partnerships and instead, engage companies' core competencies for the benefit of all parties. These unique partnerships leverage the expertise of neighborhood organizations and residents, corporations, non-profit, and philanthropic partners to work toward shared success. Session attendees will learn how to leverage existing funding and board relationships to foster more inclusive economic growth in disinvested communities.
Learning Question: How can you attract deeper investment and partnership by understanding private sector priorities and creating business opportunities that align with community goals?
