Emma joins FSG with a background in immigration law and field development projects focused on global health and capacity building. She has experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders in both the public and private sectors to tackle development challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. As a consultant, Emma looks forward to applying a collective impact lens to her work and supporting leaders in adopting strategies that will maximize their social reach and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Prior to FSG, Emma spent two years in Senegal serving as a Peace Corps health extension agent, where she partnered with multilateral development agencies, non-governmental organizations, local experts, and community stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate strategies aimed at improving maternal and child health, gender equity in education, and financial inclusivity. Before the Peace Corps, Emma worked at a Chicago immigration law firm, where she helped build strong cases to represent non-citizen clients in deportation, removal defense, and criminal court proceedings, applications for non-immigrant visas, asylum, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, and procedures leading to lawful permanent residence and U.S. citizenship. She has also engaged with several social sector and humanitarian organizations on strategic initiatives and training development, including the El Sueño de Vicky Foundation and Médecins Sans Frontières Urban Spaces.

Emma received her MS in International Development from IE University’s School of Global and Public Affairs with a specialization in Governance and Social Inclusion and in Development, Innovation, and Emerging Technologies. During her studies, she advised the UN World Tourism Organization on the sustainable integration of the Tourism Online Academy in the Caribbean region in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
