Jonathan Nomachi is a native of South Los Angeles and has spent over 18 years working with communities of color to advocate for change in their respective neighborhoods. He believes that a thriving community has empowered families surrounded by a vibrant built environment where access to key resources is just a walk away. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley and his Master’s in Public Policy at the Georgetown Public Policy Institute. Currently, Jonathan is a Program Officer at First 5 LA managing our Communities Team investment around capacity strengthening and community data for our Best Start geographies. Additionally, Jonathan brings a wealth of experience around community engagement, policy and data analysis, program evaluation, project management, and leadership development.
