Speaker Bio

Rachel Schaffer (she/her) is a workplace coach, communications champion, and change agent. She believes that no matter where people work, they naturally seek connection with others, look for communities of belonging, and find ways to make meaningful contributions. Rachel partners with small to midsize organizations to leverage best practices in employee engagement, internal communications, DEI, and change management to create people-centered strategic solutions that help leaders and teams realize their full potential. Rachel is most excited when she is helping organizations move through big changes, designing and facilitating workshops or developing communications plans and messaging for leaders

Prior to working as a consultant, Rachel spent over two decades in the media and entertainment industry growing household media brand names like Discovery Channel, OWN, and TLC. Her early career began launching and building cable networks. Her true passion was unveiled when she pivoted to corporate communications, where she pioneered the organization’s first global employee communications team. Following a purposeful pause from the corporate world, Rachel then returned again to lead a global company-wide technology transformation/adoption program.

Rachel lives in Central New York, with her two teenage boys and husband. When she’s not dreaming up new ideas for work, she loves to spend time in nature, plan celebrations, and do yoga.
