Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Summit virtual or in-person?
The Summit is fully virtual and hosted on the Zoom platform. Attendees can network and connect in our virtual learning community on Whova.

May I still submit a session proposal or speaker recommendation?
The Call for Sessions for the 2026 Summit is now closed. For interest in future Summits, please submit your ideas at our next open call in Fall 2026.

I live outside of the US. How do you recommend participating from a different time zone?
While the event will take place live (in Eastern Time, US & Canada), there will be recordings for some keynotes and all concurrent sessions. Attendees from other countries/time-zones have typically done a combination of 1) selecting a few sessions that they are really interested in participating in live and 2) watching the recordings when it’s not the middle of the night. And remember, you can still exchange messages and communicate/network with attendees through the virtual event platform.

What Accessibility measures will be in place?
All sessions include zoom auto-captions and zoom auto-transcripts. Session materials will be available ahead of the Summit for download, and recordings of most sessions available after for three months. American Sign Language (ASL) will be included for all keynotes/plenaries, and by attendee request for Summit breakout sessions. Please make note during registration if you wish to be paired with an ASL interpreter for breakout sessions. For other requests to support attendee accessibility, please reach out to Dulcy Kenner.

Do you provide simultaneous translation into other languages for attendees? At this time, the Summit is conducted in English. From time to time, we offer simultaneous translation from a different language into English if we host a speaker who is most comfortable presenting in another language.

Will Action Summit sessions be recorded?
Most sessions are recorded unless otherwise noted as "Live-Only" on the agenda. Session recordings will be made available two weeks after the Action Summit, and attendees will have access to Summit recordings for three months after the event.
