NJ Mvondo is a dynamic social entrepreneur, startup founder, and community organizer with deep expertise in environmental justice and cross-sector collaboration. As the founder of Multiculturalism Rocks! LLC, NJ has been a driving force in promoting cultural diversity, climate action, and civic engagement for over a decade. An advocate for social and disability justice, she is also the visionary behind the Interactive Healing Arts Project, a unique initiative that brings together artists and communities on the themes of resilience, mental wellness, and healing, in collaboration with local businesses, schools, and local governments. Her leadership as Chair and Environmental Justice Lead of the Yolo County Climate Action Commission reflects her dedication to climate resilience and equitable policy development, as she spearheads community-driven processes for achieving carbon-negative goals and climate resilience.
NJ's enterprising spirit is fueled by her belief in bridging gaps between sectors and fostering collaboration among government bodies, businesses, and grassroots organizations to drive systemic change. With formal training in climate resilience and conflict resolution, her expertise is reinforced by her work with the National Association of Climate Resilience Planners, as well as with numerous local and national initiatives. NJ is committed to empowering underrepresented communities, increasing access to funding and resources, and pursuing sustainable solutions through environmental justice and equity lenses.
