Alexandra (Alexis) Canalos-Castillo is a systems change coach, facilitator, change-maker, and life-long learner based in Chicago. During her 18-year career as a non-profit and collective impact executive leader, strategist, capacity builder, and service provider, she has contributed to shifting systems and improving practices in the housing, workforce development, and education fields.

Prior to her most recent role as the Vice President of Equitable Results at StriveTogether, Alexis was the Deputy Director of Center for Changing Lives, a financial opportunity and workforce development center focused on supporting the Latinx community in Chicago experiencing housing instability. She also served as Co-Chair of the City of Chicago’s cross-sector collaborative to address the housing instability experienced by the City’s opportunity youth. She spent her formative years as a campaign strategist in efforts across the Midwest to pass policy at the local and state levels in support of worker protections and workforce development projects.

Alexis has been an executive coach serving the social impact sector since 2013, focusing specifically on support of systems change leaders. Her clients include national and local collective impact movements, advocacy groups, public institutions, and non-profit organizations. She lives in Chicago with her husband, Angel, and son, Xander, and she has an adult daughter, Alyssa, who lives in Seattle.
