Susana Arizmendi is a Rio Grande Valley native who aspires to make a difference in her community and cares deeply about the integrity and excellence of her work. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. With nearly eight years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Susana has been serving as the Collective Impact Manager for Unidos Contra la Diabetes since 2022. In this role, she leads collaborative initiatives to reduce type 2 diabetes in the Rio Grande Valley, managing projects that unite diverse stakeholders, align shared goals, and drive measurable progress. Her work emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and fostering sustainable community impact through data-driven approaches. Prior to this role, she served vulnerable populations through organizations such as the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights and La Posada Providencia, advocating for children and immigrant families.
