This session seeks to answer the following question: What is the most equitable and effective way to assemble a coalition of partners to address complex problems? Collective impact is about bringing mission-aligned organizations together across disciplines and sectors to create innovative, nuanced solutions. This session will introduce a toolkit to guide this process. We will walk attendees through a three-step checklist to help them identify 1) the purpose of the project they wish to pursue, 2) potential partners to engage, and 3) a detailed plan for operationalizing a coalition. Attendees will gain insight into both the unique challenges and opportunities of a coalition-based approach to problem solving, leaving our session with a greater appreciation for the power of uniting diverse partners under a common mission.
