Cross-sector change efforts require both coherence and connection in order to be successful. This session will dig into examples, lessons learned, and practical tools for navigating trust and repair in collaborative, cross-racial work. Through this session participants can begin to see the nuances in how we approach relationships and become equipped for collaboration and conflict with curiosity, care, and courage.
We know our life experiences and contexts shape who and how we trust, but it can be difficult to know how to build and repair trust across differences even when we have a shared goal. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of racialized trust and how to navigate relational dynamics in ways that open up pathways for renewed trust and solidarity. We will unpack racialized trust, the dynamics of repair, and practice relational healing techniques so that the strategies shared in this session can have immediate application in collective impact efforts and beyond.
