Shantanu works at the intersection of measurement, learning, and applied social research in complex social programs. He is particularly interested in designing evidence systems for collective action, understanding how early signals of systems change emerge, and using data, design, and storytelling to inform adaptive decision-making and practice.

Prior to Sattva, Shantanu held positions at organisations with experience across research, monitoring and evaluation, and impact assessments, having worked with institutions such as UNICEF, SEWA Bharat, and the Institute for Human Development on large-scale studies spanning labour welfare, women’s livelihoods, financial inclusion, and social policy in India.
