Speaker Bio

Amber Weir is the Project Director of Resilient Del Norte and Tribal Lands (DNATL) at the California Health Collaborative, where she leads community-driven collective impact strategies to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and build ecosystems of belonging across rural and Tribal communities in Northern California. Resilient DNATL serves as both a regional funder and a catalyst for systems change, supporting locally led, cross-sector solutions grounded in equity and shared accountability. Amber’s work responds to stark local realities—overrepresentation of Native youth in foster care, higher than state average rates of child abuse, teen birth and teen suicide. Her leadership focuses on shifting communities from crisis response to upstream prevention through collective impact, human-centered design, and trauma-informed systems change. Amber shares the program and funder perspective of AI use, and the practical boundaries needed to keep the work community-led: where AI can support synthesis and reflection, and where interpretation, accountability, and decision-making must remain human and grounded in local relationships.
