Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Megan Battista's career has been a journey through education, foster care, and political advocacy that has focused on increasing equity in systems that serve vulnerable people. Megan holds a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo, with a special focus on utilizing trauma-informed advocacy to promote systems change. Her role as the Learning and Advocacy Coordinator at Liftoff WNY focuses on expanding Liftoff's network of partners, advocating for policy change, and facilitating meaningful learning experiences that increase awareness and understanding related to early childhood development. Megan also leads Liftoff WNY's volunteer advocate network, Onboard, which brings the voices of community partners together to promote better systems and policies that impact young children.
