Description
Junious Williams Consulting, Inc. (JWC) is a sole practitioner consulting firm located in Oakland, CA, and working with selected organizations nationally, focused on supporting organizations engaged in collective impact and other methods of collaboration for social change. Mr. Willliams’ focus is on design and implementation of strategies for equity and community engagement in collaboration. Although he is a sole practitioner, a team of associates and colleagues support and extend his work with research, tool development, virtual meeting/tech support, training assistance, note taking and other services needed by collaboratives.
Consulting Approach
My approach to working with the collaboratives, organizations and partners is to help build local capacity by serving as a thought partner, coach and trainer in support of a local team with primary responsibilities for designing and implementing the structures, strategies and plans. The specifics of the consultant role are open to negotiations depending on local needs.
Types of Services
Three types of consultant services are offered including: 1) external assessment of collective impact initiatives including document review and meetings with key stakeholders; 2) ongoing consultation and coaching on design and development work to support equity, community engagement and collaborative processes; and 3) collective impact training for stakeholders.
