Dalia Wimberly, appointed as the Director of Equity and Engagement at Ready for School, Ready for Life in 2023, brings over 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience. Throughout her career, she has been unwavering in her commitment to advancing educational equity and social justice for underserved students and communities, leaving a lasting impact on thousands of children and families. Dalia's expertise spans strategic planning, family outreach, community engagement, and educational advocacy. Prior to her role at Ready for School, Ready for Life, she held executive positions at organizations such as The Emily Krzyzewski Center, RaeBrown Educational Consulting, and Family Connects International, showcasing strategic leadership and program development skills. In addition to her professional roles, Dalia is dedicated to community service, serving on the Board of Directors for Hope Her Way and Kestrel Heights Charter School. Fluent in Spanish, she effectively communicates and connects with diverse communities, organizations, and institutions. Dalia holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social and Economic Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as master's degrees in education and public policy from North Carolina State University and Duke University, respectively.
