Amplifying Change: Power Mapping to Change Mental Models
Date & Time
Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
George Zaninovich Kimberly Shin
Description
Join us to dive into the role power dynamics, barriers, and mental models play in your ability to advance efforts and initiatives that support transformational change. This participatory session will give you the opportunity to explore and workshop a change you are trying to make in you community and/or workplace using practical tools that surface immediate action steps. You will learn an easily applicable tool that positions leaders as compassionate change agents and employees/community members as empowered systems fixers; surface specific barriers that might be frustrating or harmful to possible paths forward; and create a power map to help identify how to navigate the systems and mental models you are trying to impact. After learning from and with other changemakers and workshopping your specific issue, our goal is that you will leave the session with an immediate next step to take and a clear path forward that is effective, strategic, and connective.
