Description

The session seeks to illustrate in a practical way how to include a systemic change approach, which is sometimes seen as distant and abstract, in specific measurements and actions defined in a collaborative action framework. To this extent, we will give an overview of systemic change, the theory of structural injustices in GOYN, and a specific case of how this approach was included in the theory of change and MEL framework in Bogota. In this measure, beyond a conceptual understanding of systemic change, tools will be provided so that communities can include this approach in their models. As the proposed name indicates, the basic question of the space will be how to include systemic change in the theory of change and in the MEL frameworks. We will start from the basis of the components that systemic change considers, GOYN's theory of structural injustices and we will provide a tool on how to include these elements in practical examples of indicators, activities, and prioritization of issues, among others. In this session, you will clearly identify how to include short, medium, and long-term goals in your collective strategy, with your allies, in order to achieve systemic changes based on equity.
