Description
This session covers an engagement model for holding conversations with community groups. The model uses 3 simple questions which allow participants to direct the conversation within a very broad set of parameters. There is also a set of principles to create a trusting conversational environment, bonding participants and devolving power imbalances. The questions are short and focus around the concepts of belonging and not-belonging, utilising “tūrangawaewae and whakawhānaungatanga.” This conversation model was our organisation's starting point in highlighting community issues and building collective initiatives.
