Description
In this 30-minute "Stories of Change" spotlight talk, two key members of a partnership share the journey of moving from a very big question of how to make progress on racial equity in New Orleans to a hyper-relevant, participant-driven local action with high-school students. Through a conversation between Rachel Brooks of The Prosperity Agenda and Arnel Cosey of Clover NOLA, you will hear how they built equity through both process and outcome. In mostly online research process, TPA and Clover managed roles and relationships to ensure that community members could guide every step. People experiencing poverty sat at the same table with business leaders, policy advocates, government officials, and nonprofit providers. They built an environment that ensured that everyone felt comfortable and respected. They ensured a process that allowed members to participate with ease and confidence. And their insights led to clear action.
