Lucy Chen is the Vice President of Advocacy & Community Engagement at the Cathedral Arts Project in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, she leads advocacy efforts in support of the organization’s vision in providing essential and accessible arts education to all children. Prior to joining CAP, Lucy served as Chair of the Music Department and Honors College at Edward Waters University in FL and Director of Monmouth Conservatory of Music at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in NJ.
Dr. Chen is also a pianist, highlights of her past engagements include performances at the St. Martin-in-the-Fields (London), Carnegie Hall (New York City), and Spring of Shanghai Concert Series (Shanghai). She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Boston University.
