Description

Have you ever wondered how to center the lived experiences of people most impacted within your collective impact work? Are you trying to figure out how to achieve Racial Equity outcomes through your collaborative, but aren’t sure how to get from training to action? Are you trying to navigate power dynamics and getting stuck when you bring up Racial Equity? Are you trying to shift your collaborative from transactional activities to transformative shifts?

Join this session to find out how a community foundation serving as the backbone & incubator for multiple collective impact and racial equity initiatives in a Rural, Tribal, and predominantly conservative, community took some of their first steps into this work and what it looks like over a decade later.

This session will focus on how human centered design & systems thinking can lead to powerful systems change by taking a targeted & empathetic approach to reach equitable outcomes.

Participants will have access to:

  • Field Tested Framework- Community Centered Design (Evidence Based Theories that informed our work)
  • An overview of the resource materials (our playbook) & resource partners (can’t do this alone)
  • Access to multiple case studies (to dive in deeper)
  • Open Q&A (to open up a meaningful dialogue)
