Date & Time

Description

Rural communities and Native nations are integral to our nation's economy, and a just and equitable future. One in five people in this country lives in rural places, and one in four of those rural residents are people of color. How can we build a future where communities and Native nations across the rural United States are healthy places where each and every person belongs, lives with dignity, and thrives?

The Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group (Aspen CSG)'s Thrive Rural Framework has a race, place, and class equity lens and is rooted in community innovations and tested approaches to achieve equitable rural prosperity, from economic development and environmental stewardship to health and civic engagement. Speakers from Aspen CSG and the Southwest Initiative Foundation (Minnesota) will share how to use the Thrive Rural Framework to deeply consider your community's realities and goals and develop strategies to grow and measure equitable prosperity.
