Name
How to Bring Community-Centric Fundraising into Collective Impact Work
Date & Time
Thursday, April 27, 2023, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Rachel D'Souza-Siebert
Description
In this workshop, Rachel D'Souza-Siebert will provide a foundational explanation of Community-Centric Fundraising, and give an overview of early successes of the movement. As a case study, D'Souza-Siebert will present The Bloom Network, launched by Generate Health in 2021. Generate Health is on a mission to mobilize and inspire the St. Louis region to advance racial equity in pregnancy outcomes, family wellbeing, and community health. The Bloom Network, launched in 2021, is demonstrating that collective convening is doable and useful. We must engage the community by listening to and involving them as partners to understand and communicate their needs to resource opportunities and partnerships. Then, D'Souza-Siebert will lead attendees through an activity that will challenge collaborators to begin thinking about how to integrate these values into their own resource building strategies.
