As a public-private, collective impact initiative, the LA County Arts Ed Collective works to ensure all young people grow up with the arts, in schools and in communities. Since 2019, the initiative has worked to engage young people in guiding the effort, particularly those representing communities most affected by inequities, including those with lived experience in the public education, juvenile justice, and foster care systems. Paid opportunities for youth with varying levels of commitment can create inclusive pathways for work-based learning, shared leadership, and youth representation. In this session, you will hear from young people and youth-serving adults who work together to embed youth voice and leadership across all programmatic areas of the Arts Ed Collective.
