Simon Richard Mugenyi is a seasoned, forward-looking sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equality advocate, with a wide experience in different fields that include communications, advocacy, social accountability, human rights, and community empowerment spanning more than 10 years.

Richard is currently the advocacy and communications manager at Reproductive Health Uganda (an affiliate of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, with more than 60 years of SRHR advocacy, information and service delivery).

He has worked with citizens and engaged leaders/opinion makers and policy/decision makers at different levels resulting into increased family planning and reproductive health funding, commodity security, SRHR/gender equality policy formulation and implementation and fronting citizens’ voices to shrink barriers to quality information and health services delivery.

Simon has previously worked with the the leading media house in Uganda, The New Vision Media Group; he has also worked with AMREF Health Africa in Uganda and World Vision Uganda.
