This session will introduce participants to a mid-stage collective impact initiative focused on advancing a Cradle to Career strategy in Windsor-EssexCounty, Ontario, Canada. It will share the work of its Community Action Network (CAN) Working Groups as they leverage Human Centered Design(HCD) methodology, a problem-solving approach to cultivate leadership and ownership of programs and services by community members and transform the way stakeholders work together. This will include an overview of HCD and tools and techniques for facilitating the process both in person and virtually. Further, a robust discussion will be shared with insights and reflections from residents on their experience with the HCD process, successes and learnings of solution design work completed to date, and early impact of their participation in this collective impact work.
