Melanie Kawano-Chiu has been in the international peacebuilding, human rights and development grappling with issues of complexity and measurement for more than two decades. Previous positions include managing a grants program for under reached groups at the American Red Cross and creating a field-wide consortium around the collective challenge of measuring impact as the Director of Evaluation at the Alliance for Peacebuilding. She is currently the Learning and Evaluation Manager at the Disability Rights Fund, where she leads MEL across twenty countries.
