Hannah Paterson leads of participatory grantmaking for The National Lottery Community Fund exploring how a public body can use participatory approaches in their work to put people in the lead. In 2019 she completed a Churchill Fellowship which enabled her to explore best practice in participatory grantmaking in South Africa and across the USA . She now works to embed this learning across the UK and further afield to support the growing number of foundations using participatory approaches in their grantmaking.
