Cristal works closely with Vallejo residents and community organizations to develop a comprehensive housing justice policy agenda for the city. She helps raise community awareness on tenant rights, affordable housing and preservation, and alternative land and housing strategies. Prior to joining Urban Habitat, Cristal worked in municipal governance, with more than six years of experience in a variety of roles. Cristal received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political, Legal, and Economic Analysis as well as her Master’s in Public Policy from Mills College.
