Name
How to Use Data for Continuous Learning
Date & Time
Tuesday, April 27, 2021, 2:15 PM - 3:30 PM
Vanessa Lee Ruby Flores
Description

Most of us collect data, both qualitative and quantitative, regularly as a part of work. How often is that data used to inform work with communities, though? Sometimes data is collected to satisfy funders, but is not used when it may be most effective - to help adapt and make mid-course corrections in an initiative or project. In this session, you will learn how to use data to continuously learn and to inform your decision-making as you work on a project rather than at the end. Community Systems Statewide Supports (CS3), a training and technical assistance provider for early childhood community collaborations in Illinois, will use Action Learning and Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles to demonstrate how you can learn from and use data to strengthen the impact of your work with communities.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn what Action Learning is and what it looks like in practice
  • Practice using Action Learning and Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles
