In this session participants will reflect on their ideal vision for community engagement and partnership. Participants will be introduced to the Community Engagement Spectrum and push themselves to confront the biases, fears and barriers preventing them from shifting to a more trust-based, shared power model. Beloved Community will walk through strategies and resources designed to empower and equip participants to make tangible shifts towards equity and inclusion in their community engagement practices.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will:

• Deeply understand the spectrum of voice and power sharing possible for their community engagement practices
• Be able to name strategies, activities and resources at their disposal at every point along the community engagement spectrum
• Have confronted their fears and biases that serve as a barrier to ceding power and empowering those that they serve
