Description

Data walks are a powerful method for engaging diverse stakeholders to learn about - and explore together – the complexity of your issue. A well-design Data Walk can bring your issue to life in a tangible way while also demonstrating how data can be used to inform a Collective Impact effort. This session will focus on what it takes to host a data walk in a virtual environment. Participants will hear highlights from a real example of a virtual data walk and the session’s co-facilitators will also share insights and advice to participants wanting to design a Virtual Data Walk into the work of their own Collective Impact initiative.

Learning Objectives: Participants of the Designing and Hosting a Virtual Data Walk session will

  • Learn the Data Walk methodology and how it can be used to advance the work of your CI Initiative
  • Discover what is needed to design and host an effective Data Walk and what’s needed to adapt it to a virtual environment
  • Learn about a real example of Virtual Data Walk and hear advice and insights from its co-facilitators
