Bob Fendley is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and the American University Washington College of Law. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, he brings a diverse professional background spanning the Federal Civil Service, the hospitality industry, and non-profit healthcare, with a focus on communications and project management.
Since joining the organization in 2021, Bob has worked as Grants Manager and Advocacy Liaison at Mary’s Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving communities in Washington, D.C., and Maryland. In this role, he has helped secure funding from federal, state, and local governments, as well as private foundations, strengthening the organization’s capacity to deliver essential health services during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to his development work, Bob advocates for increased federal support for community healthcare, with a particular focus on oral health care, engaging with both local and federal legislators to drive positive change. Outside of work, Bob can be found in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife, Casey, and their three cats.
