Description

In recent years, the sharp rise in social isolation and loneliness across the country has led to calls for efforts that facilitate social connection in our communities. How can practitioners, organizations, and funders be part of the solution, developing inclusive activities that create social connections and sense of belonging? This session will focus on creative placemaking programs of a social impact funder that have reinvigorated public spaces across the country through free music series. Attendees will discover how outdoor concerts can spark collective joy, foster belonging, bring people together across demographics, and inspire lasting partnerships—strengthening the social fabric of their town or city.
