Description

As we develop a shared vision, how might we imagine beyond what’s broken to deeply grapple with what ‘right’ would look like and require of us? The toolbox of design can help to unlock critical conditions for reimagining and re-wiring our systems for equity, healing, belonging, joy. These conditions include; connection and trust, release and reflection, and joyful co-creation. In this interactive workshop, participants will experience three tools and techniques that designers use to help equity-centered collective impact groups unlock their boldest shared vision and take action towards it. Short case studies from the fields of health equity, gender equity, and childcare will shed light on the origins and applications for these approaches. Participants will leave with tools to recreate these powerful creative facilitation exercises, which weave storytelling, futuring, embodiment, play, and healing practices together for transformative results.
